Gaetano-Atalanta, here we go: medical exams and then the signing

The adventure of Gianluca Gaetano with Atalanta is now ready to become official. The midfielder arrived on the morning of Thursday, July 9 at the Casa di Cura La Madonnina in Milan, where he underwent the customary medical examinations before signing the contract that will bind him to the Nerazzurri club until 2030.

Gaetano had landed on Wednesday evening at Linate airport, after the final green light for the deal between Atalanta and Cagliari. Today he will complete the medical process and athletic tests, then reach the club headquarters and sign the new agreement. A

Atalanta thus closed its first summer signing right on the eve of the new season. The Bergamo club reached the final agreement with Cagliari based on 12 million euros plus 2 million in bonuses, while the midfielder will earn a salary of about 1.5 million euros per season.

The deal had been set up for several weeks and underwent a decisive acceleration in recent days. After the preliminary agreement reached at the beginning of the week, the parties finalized the last details until the green light arrived in the past few hours.

Much will depend on the timing of the medical examinations and bureaucratic procedures.
