Reading time less than a minute.After medical checks and athletic tests earlier in the week, Thursday, July 9 is the day of the first training session for Maurizio Sarri’s Atalanta, with the 33 players called up for the training camp.
Sportiello the first to arrive
In Zingonia, it starts with a meeting between the new coach and the Nerazzurri team, then the first training session on the fields of the Achille & Cesare Bortolotti Training Center (5 PM, behind closed doors). Among the executives, the first to pass through the gates is Luca Percassi (10:27); among the Atalanta players, the early bird award goes to Marco Sportiello (11:48). The second, in a taxi with tinted windows, is Nicola Zalewski (12:05).

In the afternoon, all the others: Carnesecchi at 2:46 PM, Djimsiti and Ahanor ten minutes later, Zappacosta at 3 PM sharp. At 3:15 PM the youngsters Vismara and Plaia, at 3:30 PM the Serbs Samardzic and Vlahovic, at 3:34 PM Daniel Maldini, Scamacca just before 4 PM. Then a long series of vans with tinted windows, before the new signing Gianluca Gaetano, on his first day as an Atalanta player.

Then arrived at the sports center Cristian Raimondi, no longer in the first team this year but with a leading role in the youth sector: “It’s not a choice I made, but it’s a good thing. Being with our boys is what gratifies me the most.”
