With a note on its official website, Atalanta announced the arrival of Gianluca Gaetano from Cagliari, identified by the club as the new playmaker in Maurizio Sarri’s 4-3-3.

Gaetano’s career
Born in 2000, Gaetano grew up in Napoli’s youth sector, the jersey with which he debuted in Serie A in the 2018-2019 season. In January 2020 he was loaned to Cremonese, where he stayed for a year and a half. He returned to Napoli in summer 2021, before another loan experience at Cremonese, achieving promotion to Serie A alongside Marco Carnesecchi. From 2022 to February 2024 he wore the Napoli jersey, winning the historic Scudetto in May 2023. Then the transfer to Cagliari, with whom he made 76 appearances in two and a half years.
