The golden summer of Eric Marek never ends: after the thrill of wearing the blue jersey at the European Championships in Birmingham and two medals at the Mediterranean Games, the Orobic arrow took another satisfaction by breaking the provincial record for the 100 meters. At the Palio della Quercia in Rovereto, the 23-year-old raised in Atletica Bergamo ran in 10”18 (wind +0.7 m/s), improving Roberto Rigali’s record by one hundredth. And Marek didn’t stop: he then flew to Poland where on Sunday, September 13th, he won the 100 meters at the international level meeting in Warsaw (10”21 in heats, 10”41 in the final).
