IN NYON. The wait is finally over: on Monday, August 3rd in the early afternoon, Atalanta will learn the names of the potential opponents in the playoffs to access the group stage of the Conference League.

Two names from which the opponent for the Conference League playoffs on August 20 and 27 will emerge. Atalanta’s journey in the third European cup will begin to take shape on Monday, August 3 at 2 PM in Nyon, where the draw for the playoffs is scheduled. In fact, already at 8:30 AM something will be known, because early in the morning UEFA will announce all the seeded teams and groups for the draw, thus giving a first screening of possible opponents. Then in the afternoon the pairings will be established, with Atalanta being associated with a third qualifying round tie.
The Nerazzurri and the other four seeded teams (Brighton, Getafe, Freiburg, Monaco) are already admitted to the playoffs, while the other 43 admitted teams will come from the third qualifying round of the Conference League (30 ties, winners qualify) and from the third qualifying round of the Europa League (13 ties, losers “drop down” to the Conference playoffs).

The Nyon draw will also determine whether the first leg or the second leg will be played in Bergamo
To know the name of the opponent, one will have to wait for the second leg matches of the third round (first leg August 4, 5 and 6, second leg August 11, 12 and 13), while already at the Nyon draw on Monday, August 3 it will be known whether the first leg or the second leg will be played in Bergamo.
