Cbl Costa Volpino will debut in the renewed Women’s Serie A2 volleyball on Sunday, October 4th at home against Marsala. It will be the first commitment of a championship that for 2026/27 comes renewed: the two mini groups and the promotion and relegation pools are archived, next season Serie A2 will feature a single group of 17 teams, with 34 matchdays and two rest rounds per team. It starts on the weekend of October 3-4, last matchday April 10-11, 2027. Six midweek rounds are planned and there will be a break from December 27 to January 6.
Gathering Monday, August 10
At the end of the regular season, the first place team will be promoted directly to Serie A1; the teams placed from second to ninth will compete in the playoffs with a second promotion at stake. The last four (excluding Club Italia) will be relegated to A3, while a possible fifth relegation (playoff with the fourth of A3) will depend on the final placement of Club Italia. The Coppa Italia will be accessed by the top four teams at the end of the first half of the season.
