Skiing: malaise during preparation in Argentina, Goggia returns to Italy early
“Nothing traumatic, but she no longer felt able to train – declared coach Gianluca Rulfi to “La Gazzetta dello Sport” -. Since there was no possibility to carry out very thorough tests locally, it was decided to have her return to Italy.” SuperSofi, who left for Ushuaia last August 23 along with Laura Pirovano, Elena Curtoni, and Marta Bassino, was supposed to return on September 24. Now it is necessary to understand her immediate future, as well as whether this slowdown – abrupt or not, the Federal Medical Commission chaired by Dr. Andrea Panzeri will clarify – could affect her presence at the World Cup opening namely the traditional giant slalom in Soelden. Regardless of what will happen, an unexpected setback especially for an athlete who also needs to quickly find the right balance after changes in her staff with Rulfi himself and the new ski technician Markus Gufler.
