With the images of the beautiful victory (76-62 the final score) in Game 3 of the National B Series basketball playoff semifinals still fresh in their minds, Tav Treviglio, leading 2-1 in the series, once again faces T Tecnica Gema Montecatini at home: this is the first match point to close the series and access the final that is worth Serie A2. The match is scheduled for Thursday, May 28, at the PalaFacchetti Bcc Carate e Treviglio Arena at 9:15 PM, with reduced capacity due to the fact that the Treviglio arena will host the Artistic Gymnastics Champions Cup (over 500 athletes) during the weekend. In case of an away victory, the series would instead move to Tuscany for the decisive Game 5: an eventuality that coach Davide Villa‘s boys will try to avoid at all costs.
The Treviglio team will still be without Croatian center Aleksandar «Sandi» Marcius; all others will be present, including Efe Odiphri, who arrived from BluOrobica. In Game 3, the best players were Richard Ygor Morina and, especially in the final, Marco Restelli and captain Davide Reati, who were good at repelling Montecatini’s comeback attempts.
