The “little big” AlbinoLeffe Under 19 team crushed Modena at the last breath at the “Vicini” stadium in Savignano sul Panaro in the Primavera 2 playoff final. The young Seriani thus win the final and the championship: in the 2026/27 season, Massimiliano Maffioletti‘s terrible boys will challenge the elite of national youth football in Primavera 1. After a championship finished in 4th place, the penalty shootout “marathon” against Pescara and the “manita” (five-goal win) against highly-rated Lecco, the Bergamaschi also stopped Modena in the final act of the playoffs. Next season, the blue-and-sky-blue team will be the only Lega Pro club to compete in the highest Italian youth competition.

A match, the one against Modena, that saw AlbinoLeffe lead first 1-0 (in the 13th minute, Alfredo Nespoli sent Nicolò Gamba into the area, who gave no chance to goalkeeper Maran) and then 2-1 (in the 22nd minute, Leonardo Stingaciu skillfully punished the goalkeeper from close range on a cross from the right by Gamba), but they were always caught up. The decisive 3-2 came in the 90th minute: Andrea Colombi ignited the celebration by “heading” the ball at the far post from a pass by Daniele Tironi.
