Kristensen to Atalanta, it’s almost done: the Danish grenadier is coming

The details of the deal
Tuesday, August 11, with the deal nearing completion, the attention of Atalanta and Udinese was still focused on defining the last details and the formula of the operation.
It is a loan with an obligation to buy. Although, on this point, the official confirmation is awaited to have a clearer picture. The figures that have leaked are more or less those that have come out in recent days. Kristensen moves to Bergamo for a total amount close to 25 million (including bonuses) with a fixed base that would seem to be 20-21 million. Udinese would have retained a percentage, about 10%, on the capital gain of any future resale.
Watching for Romagnoli
Kristensen might not be the only central defender arriving in Bergamo soon. Atalanta is indeed still watching Alessio Romagnoli who could leave Lazio. We are not yet at the decisive move, but the defender is firmly on the Nerazzurri radar. And Romagnoli’s track is one to monitor day by day. Also because the former Milan defender is a profile suited to Sarri’s defensive mechanisms: he has personality, leadership, and the ability to lead the back line. The option Jean-Clair Todibo from West Ham also remains on the table in case another central defender is added. Potential departures still include Scalvini (Manchester United most of all) and Ahanor (Brighton always pressing): for both, however, talks of a sale could only start in case of “irresistible” offers. Otherwise, they are locked in Bergamo.
Other names
Milan is interested in Nicola Zalewski, but it remains to be seen what happens after Kamaldeen Sulemana’s injury, because now the wing department has few alternatives. For midfield, Nerazzurri antennas are always on Samuele Ricci from Milan.
For the attack: Malick Fofana from Lyon still represents the ideal player profile for Atalanta’s offensive gears, as does Yeremay Hernandez from Deportivo A Coruña. They are two right-footed attackers playing on the left wing, on whom Atalanta has had the spotlight for some time. And Kamaldeen Sulemana’s injury could accelerate the search for a winger. Finally, for Nerazzurri midfielder Samuel Giovane, there is interest from Cesena and Catanzaro.
