On the weekend of May 29-31, the PalaFacchetti Bcc Carate and Treviglio Arena hosted the Men’s and Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Champions Cup and the second round of the Allieve Gold Star competition, organized by Ginnastica Trevicass with the patronage of Regione Lombardia, Provincia di Bergamo, and the Municipality of Treviglio. The Champions Cup, in addition to assigning individual and specialty titles, offered access to the Absolutes. This goal was achieved by Elisa Agosti of Renato Serra from Cesena.
«Superb on three apparatuses»
The gymnast from Gorlago, born in 2007, finished third on the balance beam in the qualification ranking, securing the last available spot for the Tricolori in Meda from July 23 to 26. «Another excellent performance by Elisa, who is in her sixth competition in three months – commented her coach Massimo Gallina -. Only one fall on the uneven bars, then superb on the other three apparatuses».
The other athletes from Bergamo who competed in the Champions Cup were Rebecca Andreoli of Estate 83, Caterina Salerno of Brixia, gymnasts from Trevicass, and athletes from Ginnastica Treviolo.
