With a degree in Motor and Sports Sciences at the University of Bergamo, Olympic and world snowboard cross champion Michela Moioli adds another victory to a path where sports and education have gone hand in hand, completing a university course pursued alongside her competitive career thanks to the Dual Career – Up4sport program, dedicated to high-level athletes.

«I am very happy to have completed this path. When I started it I wasn’t sure I would be able to finish it, but it gave me so much: not only in terms of content, but also because it taught me to organize myself, to study, to open my mind, and to believe in a long-term goal,» comments Michela Moioli. «Being able to close this chapter makes me very proud, because I did it simultaneously with my sports activity, which has never taken a back seat. The possibility that the University gave me to manage schedules, exams, and the organization of the course was fundamental. Without this great opportunity, I don’t know if I would have been able to graduate.»
Michela’s double achievement
Already speaking at the Graduation Day of the University of Bergamo on June 7, 2025, Moioli had spoken about the value of the dual career: «In my sports career I have always faced great challenges and intense workloads, but I felt the need to also deepen the cultural and theoretical side of my commitment: for this reason, when I discovered that UniBg offered a Motor Sciences course with a program dedicated to athletes, I jumped in. I strongly believe in the value of sharing, whether it is a victory on the track or a university achievement. And today I feel I have an extra awareness: in life as in sport, you either win or you learn.» With the degree earned today, Michela Moioli shows that sometimes you can both win and learn at the same time.
